Growing Moss in Seattle

comments

moss:   [maws, mos]

–noun

1. any tiny, leafy-stemmed, flowerless plant of the class Musci, reproducing by spores and growing in tufts, sods, or mats on moist ground, tree trunks, rocks, etc.

2. a growth of such plants on terrestrial beings, such as Hobits, Gnomes, Trolls and inhabitants of cold rainy climates in the Northern Hemisphere.

Little did we how prophetic this photo would be...

Good luck in Seattle Steve, see you at the races.  Don't forget to srape the musci off before donning your team kit.

Ciao

I can swear I have seen this photo before ; ) Back then I had no idea Steve's love for the color would lead him so far North! Anyway, having lived in Seattle, I can tell you that the traffic will bother you more than the weather (be sure to ride your bike everywhere near the city - much faster!)... And fear not, stats show more rain fall in Portland than Seattle during the winter months. Doesn't get as cold as it does here and I remember "many" crystal clear days living up there... Though on the other hand I do remember the time it rained for three months straight (literally) as well as having to wear a jacket on 4th of July! Anyway, be sure to grab a "The Stranger" rag (free everywhere on thursdays if memory serves) and be sure to enjoy more of what the city has to offer than just cycling, although the cycling is great up there too! Farewell. Stay safe, take the traffic in stride (the metal bridges are ad slick as snot in wet weather btw), and have a blast... So much to do! Take care and see ya at a race sometime soon!

Thanks Brian! Yeah, so far up here it's been nice and sunny everyday. (It's been cold and rainy those same days.) All you guys should consider coming to visit, and in the heat of the summer if you want to do some training in reasonable temperatures, then this is the place.

I saw that ride. Looks awesome. Though I no longer have a mountain bike. :( The commuting here is phenomenal though. :)
